I read the whole thing, and I did think the story had a few decent points.
But in the end, it suffered from a the same flaw a lot of exercise stories suffer from. It doesn’t seem to acknowledge any qualitative difference between cardio and weight exercise, and it doesn’t acknowledge a difference between calories from fat/protein and calories from carbs. And they are different, and have different effects.
Redouble agrees with Joseph wholeheartedly. While the article had potential to trump others it resembles, the point that Jospeh makes is a very good example of health & fitness news articles’ common flaw.
