Redouble’s custom hi top leather Chuck Taylors. Someone missed their calling as a sneaker leaker.
What palate cleanser can I offer after 5W/Ronn bile? Ellen Degeneres gives great commencement to Tulane in May. Better late than never.
Redouble’s Alma Mater is having labor troubles. One could say we are all having labor troubles, really…so what if the difference between most Americans and Ronn is a personal Department of Labor raid?
Sidenote: Nolan’s promise for anonymity doesn’t do it for us.
Update: Gawker prints 5W employee gossip and g-chat status updates. Reminds me of the skit John Stewart did regarding CNN’s reliance on Facebook for news bits. Except Gawker isnt CNN and who really cares about the facts when it comes to Ronn and the DOL.
We cancelled our cable when the market crashed…the disconnect has been tolerable. Now, after 11 months I see where this decision has hindered our lives. Your attempt at launching Kings went undetected until now. We could have built you an audience. I cringe at this casualty. A drama series based loosely on the Biblical story of King David in a kingdom that culturally and technologically resembles the present-day United States is exactly what this country needed. Also the continual commentary on the King’s control over the media is brilliant.
Sad face.

A new study shows the U.S. has among the world’s smallest small business sectors.
This challenges the widely held view that America is a society of entrepreneurs. A possible reason for the low rate of small biz here is high healthcare costs, while start-ups in other countries have access to universal healthcare.
These numbers are from 2007 though - a year that now rings as prosperous. There seemed to be plenty of high paying, benefit-laden corp jobs available. It seems entrepreneurialism has become a popular recession plan in the past few years. So how much have these numbers changed?
The New York Post’s Tom Namako breaks down this new trend in yesterday’s paper.
The first edition of Suck on my Sentence acknowledges Time Magazine’s Belinda Luscombe. In her recent peice on the future (and present state) of newspapers, Ann Arbor Kills Its Newspaper - To Save It, Luscombe serves up some serious sentence with this shiny little gem:
Death’s paperboy has been tossing a lot of venerable titles onto the porch of history recently.
We like what you did there Luscombe!
